Our goal when shooting your wedding is to help make it a day you will never forget. With that in mind, we make sure your experience is fun and laid back, and tailored to your exact needs. With a Stephen DeVries Wedding you can be confident that every important moment is captured, because Stephen and a second photographer will be there from the time you start getting ready until you leave the reception, no matter what package you book. Stephen will shoot professional film, polaroids, and fun vintage cameras, and Jessi will have your schedule and shot list worked out with you ahead of time, so the day will run as smoothly as possible.

We love to get to know our couples before the big day, so Stephen includes a free Engagement Session with every wedding package (if you like, this can be traded for a Bridal or Rehearsal Dinner Session).

Stephen loves to tell a story with his photographs. To tell your story better, we can custom design a beautiful Wedding Album for you to enjoy and share with your friends and family. We work with Cypress Albums in Glendale, CA, a group of artisan book makers who hand build and bind the albums that Stephen uses to preserve his images, and your story.

Once your photos are ready, Stephen will give you a high-resolution disc of your images so that you can have them printed at your leisure without any extra charges from us. We will also put up an online proofing gallery so that your friends and family can easily order the prints that they want.
We like to make the package fit your needs, so we would love to meet with you, hear more about your plans for the big day, and figure out which options will fit you best.

Stephen is a storyteller at heart. Stephen DeVries

After spending most of his life in the college town of Auburn, Alabama, Stephen moved to Birmingham in early 2007 to pursue his love for photography.  While assisting on a few weddings with photographers in Birmingham he fell in love with it, enjoying the unique opportunity to photograph people on one of the happiest days of their lives.  His journalistic approach to photography lends itself to a very honest and beautiful documentary of your big day.

Jessi Lambert

Whether Jessi’s there shooting on your big day or behind the scenes, she has a hand in all of the happenings of Stephen DeVries Photo.  From helping with paperwork and scheduling, to client meetings and Assisting on weddings, Jessi really does it all.  Jessi’s background in development aids in the marketing of SDP while her life-long love of art and photography gives her the perfect background to be an integral part of the SDP team.

Paul Bryant

Paul has been making movies for ten years. Heading the Kinora Films production company, he works closely with Stephen to create a visual record that communicates both the truth and the emotion of your wedding day. Shooting in HD and traditional 8mm, the films he produces are timeless and beautiful, and are sure to have you watching again and again.
