Naomi Elizabeth: 6 Month Portraits

You may remember my one and only maternity shoot with Ashley a while back. If you do, then you’ve already seen Naomi Elizabeth! Well Naomi is no longer hanging out in Ashley’s womb…in fact she’s almost 6 months old now! Brian and Ashley invited me to come take some 6 month portraits of Naomi and some shots of their new family over the holidays and it was a blast. Here are some of my favorite shots from the day! I’m back!

Sorry for the disappearance…between relaxing, cruising the Bahamas, hanging out with my family and getting things ready for the big move (in 11 days!!!) I’ve just not been able to find time to get on here to update. BUT…that will change for a couple of reasons:

1. I’m going to make time to blog more…and I have several shoots coming up and film coming back, so I’ll have plenty of fresh content to update soon (all of which I’m really excited about!)

2. Here’s the news…This blog will be merging with my other blog into one new, neat, and central blogging location at www.stephendevrieschronicles.com

I know that they were one, I split them a few months ago just to turn around and re-combine them…but, with the move to NYC, a lot of thinking and moving forward in my personal businesses, and a big new year starting out, I decided that it’d be easier to keep all of my stuff in one place, and since I am working on style and vision it’ll push me to make my all of my photos more “me” and less divided into separate categories.

I also will not be blogging every day this year (which I did in 2009 on chronicles) so the blog won’t be too overwhelming to combine anymore. I’m going to attempt to blog “most” days of the week and sometimes on weekends if I’m really feeling it!

My amazing friend and fantastic designer Phil Moody (You Need A Designer) has put together a really beautiful Chronicles site that will be the home of all of my blogging efforts from now on (starting in a few days) and I couldn’t be happier with how it looks.

So with that said…I will blog again in a few days with the link to the new blog once live, and then will take this one down shortly thereafter. Thanks for following me and look for a lot of cool new weddings, engagements and family portraits in 2010!

It’s the end of the year…our second year in business and our most exciting one so far! We’ve shot weddings all over the southeast, had our work published on Style Me Pretty, moved from a one man show to a small staff, opened up an amazing studio here, and now…are in the process of shutting it down!

Don’t worry…we’re not closing shop…just relocating it. Right around the corner to NEW YORK CITY!!!

For those of you who have yet to hear the big news, Jessi and I will be moving to New York City to work with Times Square Church for the next year (at least…) doing media work (aka our bedouins stuff) for their missions department.

I will still be shooting weddings in the South East (as well as anywhere else that you’d like me to!) and already have 8 planned for next year…so don’t hesitate to contact me if you want to talk. Otherwise I just wanted to wish you all a happy new years, a productive and amazing 2010 and to thank you all so much for supporting us, following us and for helping make 2010 an amazing year for us here!

Robert and Casey: Engagements

I’d like you to meet Robert and Casey. The first wedding that I ever shot was of Casey’s sister, Brit over 2 years ago! Now it’s Casey’s turn and I’m so excited to get to be a part of her big day too.

Robert and Casey came up from Auburn to shoot their engagements; it was really good to get to spend some time with them and hear more about their plans for the wedding.
