Last month after our beautiful Atlanta wedding we took a break and went to six flags for the day. You may have seen the video that we posted (which was a little ridiculous by the way) but here are some shots that Jessi took during the day with my trusty four frame. I know this isn’t wedding work, but I thought it was worthy of a blog

The rest of these are from back home in Birmingham and from the 4th of July

I’ve mentioned before that I work for a non-profit called Bedouins International and I wanted to go a bit further into that today. Those of you who have been to our studio have seen the work on the walls and most likely asked us what it was all about. Well this weekend is your chance to really find out. But not just find out! It’s your chance to get involved.
What is media and why do i care? Media is a force that shapes your understanding of the world around you. Media has the ability to open our eyes to global politics, global injustice, global peace and global celebrations. All around us is media. Call it Fox News, CNN, Twitter, Facebook, YouTube or even mass text messages. Media is everywhere. And guess what? You, my friend, have the power to shape the stories that are told. You’re an artist. A storyteller. People listen to you. People are inspired by you. You want to carry influence. You want to change the world. You want to shape the way stories are told. Be the storyteller you desire to be. Come to Woodrow Hall in Birmingham, Ala. on August 1st at 6:30 p.m. and hear how Bedouins International can empower you to be a great storyteller, media shaper and world changer. Go to www.bedouinsinternational.org/banquala/ to find out more.
As much as I enjoy the big weddings that we have shot, it’s very refreshing to shoot a wedding like Chris and Sarah’s. Chris and Sarah got married on June 27th here in Birmingham at Sarah’s parents’ home in Mountain Brook. It was a really beautiful and intimate wedding, with only their closest friends and family in attendance.
You probably remember Chris and Sarah as the couple we shot out in the Cahaba for their engagements a few months back. Well their wedding day had that same sort of excitement to it. We spent the morning hanging out with the two of them and their close friends, enjoying laughs while Sarah put the roses on top of her cake and her mom prepared the food for the reception. The day included many hand-done touches by the family, which really made it special.

A few months back We met up with Hali at a beautiful house near the lake in Alex City for a bridal session. I had to save these for the blog until after the wedding, but now that I’ve posted their wedding I wanted to share these with you. We had a blast, and Hali was a beautiful bride so it made the day so much fun. Here are a few of my favorites from the shoot:

Last month we had the pleasure of shooting one of my old college friend’s weddings down in New Site, Alabama. Cory and Hali got married on a beautiful summer afternoon surrounded by friends and family at Hali’s home town church. The reception was nothing short of gorgeous, held at a friends house on the lake. We had a blast hanging out with these two and are so excited to get to share their wedding photos with you now! Cory and Hali…you two are amazing, thank you so much for including us in the fun of your big day!
